Upkeeply ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our home maintenance platform ("the Service").
When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
You provide information about your home including address, age, size, systems (HVAC, roof, foundation), and appliances. This information is used solely to generate your personalized maintenance schedule.
You may upload documents (warranties, manuals, receipts) to the Service. These are stored securely and are only accessible to you.
We collect basic usage data including pages visited, features used, and task completions. This helps us improve the Service.
Your home profile is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate maintenance schedules and answer questions about your home. We send only the information necessary to provide accurate recommendations. We do not send your documents, email address, or account credentials to AI providers.
AI interactions are logged for quality improvement and debugging purposes. These logs contain your home profile and the AI's responses but are not shared with third parties.
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. Documents are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls. We use industry-standard security practices including row-level security policies to ensure your data is only accessible to you.

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
If you enable reminders, we send email notifications about upcoming maintenance tasks and expiring warranties. You can disable reminders at any time in your Settings. Every reminder email includes an unsubscribe link.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data, home profile, tasks, and documents within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.
The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
